The policy information you find in the WHO eManual is divided into parts, which are themselves divided into sections. WHO eManual sections are made up of policy pages, which contain WHO's official policies on specific topics. This structure, along with the WHO eManual's introductory home page, is illustrated in the following diagram:

eManual Structure

Structural level Description
Home The WHO eManual home page is the page that appears when you open the WHO eManual in a browser.

Part The WHO eManual's highest structural level. WHO eManual parts contain policies that relate to broad business areas. For example, "Part III. Human Resources" details WHO's policies on human resources. Part content is divided into sections.

Section A section groups policy pages that are related to a more specific subject within a business area. For example, section III.6 contains policy pages related to various types of leaves and absences.

Page The policy page level is where you will find official WHO policy content for a specific topic. Page III.6.16, for example, covers WHO's policy on maternity leave.
