10 Transfers, secondments or loans of staff members between organizations applying the United Nations common system of salaries and allowances are governed by the inter-organization agreement reproduced in
III.20 Annex 4.B. Appointments by inter-agency transfer should, as far as possible, be made effective on the first of the month.
20 Appointees accepted for transfer from another United Nations organization, shall be appointed on a fixed-term appointment in accordance with Staff Rule
420.5, and serve the same probationary period as a newly appointed staff member. Appointees transferred from the Pan American Health Organization who have successfully completed a probationary period shall not be required to undergo a probationary period on transfer to WHO.
30 Appointees transferred from another UN Organization who hold the equivalent of a continuing appointment, will be considered on a case-by-case basis, for such an appointment after completing a probationary period, with particular importance being paid to the practice in the releasing Organization of reciprocally honouring such appointments upon transfer of WHO staff members to them.
