eManual currently provides that clearance is required for Special Leave without Pay of more than three months while in Switzerland, legitimation cards must be returned when a staff member takes unpaid leave for more than two months in accordance with the GUIDELINES regarding the issuance of legitimation cards of the Federal Department of foreign affairs (FDFA) to staff members of international organisations. The umbrella SLWOP policy in III.6.20 amended and the related policies in III.6.23, .24 and .25 refer back to III.6.20

The provisions relating to III.6.13 are amended to reflect i) the intervals required between home leaves, ii) that absence on home leave is charged to annual leave iii) in the case of a dependent child with disability, the age requirements for home leave may be waived and iv) transition date no longer required.
