10 Regardless of their contract status or employer, any passengers who are directly involved in the conduct of UN activities may be carried in WHO vehicles. Transporting other passengers, goods or equipment not related to WHO activities is prohibited at all times.
20 It is the responsibility of each individual using WHO transport to comply with the rules, policies and procedures of the Organization. Cases of non-compliance may be reported by the driver or Transport focal point to the AO/OO.
30 All vehicles owned, operated or under the control of WHO must be insured against damages for third parties as per the national legal and regulatory requirements, including coverage for the risk of death or injury to passengers. In addition, a global umbrella policy will be in place to meet requirements in excess of local cover.
40 WHO’s policy is to ensure adequate cover for third parties, and it is no longer a requirement to request passengers to sign any form of waiver for travel.
