10 Transport needs must be carefully planned in advance, in order to inform where procurement is needed, and appropriate. The size of the WHO fleet must be the minimum in order to meet the planned, regular needs of the missions.
20 Vehicle procurement must be carefully planned in advance. The transport needs will be reflected in the fleet right-sizing plan and included in the budgeting cycle.
30 Vehicle assets may only be replaced where a continued need for a vehicle can be demonstrated, and where that asset will be utilised efficiently.
40 Selection of a vehicle for procurement must be for the lowest specification which will meet the needs and operating environment.
50 Selection of a vehicle for procurement must follow the lowest environmental impact option possible, with preference given to electric or hybrid vehicles over ICE whenever possible.
60 Vehicles for WHO offices must be selected from the WHO catalogue options. Any non-catalogue requests are by exception only and are only permitted with prior approval from WFS.
