10 The responsibility of the Property
Survey Committee (PSC) is to:
- Advise
on the management of WHO fixed assets, and
- Review
reported cases of loss, theft and damage to WHO fixed assets, and advise on further
administrative action.
In
addition, the regional office PSC’s review and approve proposals for the
disposal of fixed assets under the control of the respective region.

In headquarters the Committee is composed of the following persons:
- Director,
Operational Support and Services, GMG/OSS (Chairperson),
- Director,
Accounts, HQ/ACT Accounting Services (Member),
- HR
Officer, Administrative Law, HQ/HPJ HR Policy, Administration of Justice
(Member),
- Head,
HQ/AMG Asset Management Group (Secretary
and non-voting member).
30 In regional offices the Committee shall be composed of the following persons:
- Director, Division of Administration and Finance (Chairperson),
- Budget and Finance Officer,
- Administrative Services Officer (Secretary and non-voting member).
40 The decisions and recommendations of the Committee are recorded and filed in accordance with the Organization's records retention schedules, and the records may only be altered when the alteration has been authorized in writing by the Committee, or as part of the annual verification process.
50 Country offices, project offices or other offices shall submit issues requiring the approval of the Property Survey Committee to the asset management unit in their respective Regional Office/HQ.
