10 Separation is defined as the movement of staff out of the Organization upon the effective date specified in the Staff Regulations and Rules, owing to agreed termination, death, dismissal for misconduct, early retirement, non-confirmation of probationary fixed-term appointment, expiry/completion of appointment, inter-agency or organizational transfer, resignation, retirement at age 60 or older, termination for health reasons, termination upon abolition of position or termination for unsatisfactory performance or unsuitability for international civil service and termination for abandonment of position.
