III.10.7 Separation by mutual agreement

 

10    Under Staff Rule 1015, the Director-General or delegated authority (Assistant Director-General, Business Operations as from 01 January 2020) may terminate the appointment of a staff member who holds an appointment for one year or more if such action would be in the interest of the Organization and in accordance with the standards outlined in the Staff Regulations, provided that the action is not contested by the staff member concerned.

20    The Director-General or delegated authority (Assistant Director-General, Business Operations as from 01 January 2020) may terminate the appointment of a staff member on a temporary appointment of one (1) year or longer or whose initial temporary appointment of less than one (1) year is extended resulting in an uninterrupted period of service of one (1) year or more if such action would be in the interest of the Organization and in accordance with the standards outlined in the Staff Regulations, provided that the action is not contested by the staff member concerned.
